I was driving at a speed of 80kmph at the main way, a fellow racer cut me down and surged ahead, What a jerk I said! He could have nicely asked for a side by blowing horn (its common practice here) or waited for couple of second for me to move aside, but he chose to take the hard way. Easily we could ve (both f us) ended up in a horrific accident, I thanks god for saving me. After some time I saw the same person driving slowly behind a massive truck! Was it all needed? You chased me down and cut me across with all that risk just to follow this Huge truck?! Unnecessary risk not worth it I thought. I realized not to do that stupid mistake again (because even I do that sometimes).
Everyone is at their own pace, no one is beating anyone, each journey is unique and different. Beating some one in a race is futile! The journey what we are taking is already crossed by many before you (so its not unique), if you want to be first (or early) start little early so that you get all the time in the world.
When it come to Diabetes management, each individuals journey (his body, mind, behaviour, eating, sleeping exercise patterns are different) is unique. Comparing it with others is not helpful & even it can be counter productive sometimes. Find your own space and pace, define (of course with the help of your Physician) targets and be consistent. Its the only way you can achieve your goals (of optimum Diabetes control).
