My maternal grand parents side they have motorvehicle business, right from my childhood I’m exposed to vehicles. But until recently (few years ago) we didn’t own a car. Even though I knew exactly how to drive a car, having driven it many occasions at my grand pa’s place, I didn’t have the confidence. I had to enrol myself to a short driving class. I had to pay so much attention on the gear, clutch, break, steering wheel position, outside traffic and many more. It was kinda of tough job every time when I take the car off the ‘Zero’ position, my driving was jerky. I some how managed to learn it and then went ahead & purchased my first Car in 2015. I made it a point that everyday I take it for a spin, 5am early in the morning. Withing a no time things got better and I could able to drive all the way to my home town which is 300+ kms from where I stay now. After all these years things only got better and now I drive my with eyes closed (not literally). What happened? I developed the habit, driving got into my subconscious! I don’t drive consciously, most of the time my subconscious does. What an amazing thing this habit is?! I cant imagine every time putting the same effort as much as the day one!
Habits are the automated programs which runs our day to day activities, they happen without effort and conscious sense. If the good habits are in place it will always lead to good results, its the same with bad habits (I certainly need not explain about them). Diabetes prevention need a bunch of good habits. Good diet, regular physical activity, regular evaluation.
Driving a car is easy so is the Diabetes management, all that we need is a good habit.
