“Quantitatively the 2020 monsoon seasonal rainfall from June 1 to September 30 has been 95 cm against long period average of 87 cm based on data of 1961-2010,” RK Jenamani, scientist with the National Weather Forecasting Centre (NWFC) said.
That’s a great news we say, because yielding was good. Of course there few days in between June 1st to Sept 30, when the sky was completely clear, those days perhaps scored a Zero rainfall, but that didn’t matter…the average was good so the overall yield will be too.
Similarly when we take an average 3 month blood glucose test (HbA1c% test), we want to see a report saying 7 to 7.5% (depending on the underlying conditions). There will be days of elevated blood glucose readings, missed diet patterns or something else. When the majority of days compensates, we can always come at the top.
