If you have purchased any insurance policy in India you must have not missed this disclaimer, previously until the internet was household thing (Yes im talking about post ‘Jio’ revolutions! Disclaimer: its purely my point of view) companies used to run this line in 10X speed, now they deliberately slow it down, so that everyone can listen to it properly. OK whatever, now what does even mean? Dictionary meaning of the word is ‘Ask for’ & make the big story short, it means all the responsibility comes with the policy is Purely on a voluntary basis and Company (which issues Insurance) will not be held responsible for the untoward complications (you ‘Asked for’ it remember?).
Its very good idea to have insurance mainly two, 1) Health insurance (its a 21st century necessity) until one becomes financially independent (there is tax benefit as well, which is good!) (2)Term (Risk) insurance same reason as above.
